I decided to do another card with that layout. I really like the format. This one was pretty simple but I really like how it turned out.
Paper: daisyd's from LLS
Stamp: SU warm words
ink: color box chestnut roan
accessessories: Prisma flowers layered, spare parts brad
I tried embossing. HA HA HA. I have somethings to learn. Like you need to get the static cling out of the paper before you start. I had black powder everywhere and my embossing looked spotty. It's good to have challenges and learn new things. (especially at my age) :)
Have a great day!!!
Inky Hugs ~ or should I say embossing powder hugs!

Funny Clown
Here is my card for the SC165 challenge. This card looks better in person. I couldn't get a picture of the watercolored clown to turn our right.
I went bright with this card. I saw the layout and thought of the clown stamp I got in my goodie bag. I watercolored the clown and the ballons and then put a touch of glitter glue on them. I cut the stamped strings off the balloons and put some string on them to connect them to the clown.
Paper: daisyd's for LLS dp, red and yellow and green cardstock
Stamp: dots clown, $1 michaels
Ink: black
Accessories: Glitter glue, string, red and yellow brads

My 1st SU Card and Color Challenge
I was going to do a card last night but I decided to totally organize all my SU supplies.
Before I knew it - it was 12:30 pm. I have been alittle sleepy today but worth it! :)
I can finally do a color challenge!!! And my very first SU card. I am on my way!!
I liked this SCS color challenge combination. It feels peaceful and elegant to me.
I used my crimper on the black panel and then I roughed up the edges on the white.
I colored the centers of the flowers with my white gel pen. The flowers were put on the black and white panel with pop foam circles.
Stamps: SU Warm Words and Heartfelt Thanks
Paper: SU River rock, whisper white, basic black
Ink: black
White gel pen, pop up foam circles, paper crimper.
I am already to order more SU stuff - after all I just got a starter kit - notice the word starter :)
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Beate's Weekend Challenge
Here is my card for Beate's Weekend challange.
I used my first big background stamp. (One from my huge bag of stamps!)
I stamped tone on tone on the gold paper. It only took two tries! :) I found out it is best if you put to paper on top of the stamp. I put pearlescent chalk on the butterfly and smile.
I used my new Prisma flowers. Thank you texasjodylynn! I did the group flower purchase. I am very happy with my flowers.
Paper: olive green, gold, and brown cardstock
stamps: $1 michaels and a background stamp from Brothers and Sisters
Ink: Color Box chalk in Yellow Ochre and Chestnut Roan
Accessories: Primsa flowers, brown ribbon, yellow brad, watercolor pencils and Pebbles Inc. pearlescent chalk.

Wednesday SCS Challenge
Here is my card for SC164. I made it before we left out of town but didn't have time to post it. I like doing the 4 layers. There is not much stamping on this card. Just alot of layers. I cut the flowers out of the background paper and attached them with pop up foam circles. I then added yellow rhinestones to the centers.
Paper: Paper Studio, black cardstock
Stamp: $1 Michaels
Ink: Color Box Black
Accessories: Black ribbon, yellow rhinestones, pop up foam circles.

Stamps, Stamps,and more Stamps!
Look what I got!!!
I went for a long weekend to see my grandkids. Not only did I get lots of hugs and kisses, but my daughter in-law handed me this sack full of stamps. Mostly of them never used.
She got them from her mom who never used them and with small kids she said she would never use them so I got them. Yahoo!!! Grandkids and stamps--could a long weekend get any better than that???
I am still waiting on my Stampin Up Starter kit to come in the mail. I hope the mailman hurries because I want to place an order and get some free stamps!!!!
Hey! Mr Postman---Is there a box in your bag for me!!!!

Laugh Out Loud
This is the SCS challenge for Monday. You make a pouch from an envelope. How cute is that!!!! Here is the tutorial how to do this. Notice I linked the word here Yipee!!!
Thanks to Nancy at Istamp, my upline for Stampin Up. She is being very patient and helpful with all my question. Thanks Nancy - I did it!!
I used all of my scraps to make this pouch. My pile is getting big. I wanted to do something happy and fun , this is what I came up with. I will fill it with candy as soon as I buy some :)
One more thing. This might be a great way to recycle old envelopes. You would just have to open them carefully. I think I will try it and let you know.
Paper: Paper Studio
Ink: Color Box Chestnut Roan
Accessories: ribbon, buttons
I inked all the edges of the papers with a sponge and the chestnut roan ink.
Inky hugs~

Another Challenge Card
Here is my card for todays Featured Artist Challenge on SCS.
I will try and link the card I cased here. Notice the word TRY. HEREhttp://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/659483?si=gbedwright Yahooo!!!
I got the link. Now to figure out how to make it so the word HERE is the link.
Paper: Gold, Brown and Olive Green Cardstock
Ink: Color Box Chalk Chestnut Roan and Yellow Ocre
Stamps: Whipper Snapper and Autum Leaves
Accessories: Brown satin ribbon and gold brad
I did not have a circle stamp, so I rubbed yellow ink on white chardstock
and then punched out 3/4" circles. I used my punch again to make the
corner design. I just put the paper in the punch at an angle.

Easter Bunny
My kids are done moving, I am free again!! Just a few sore muscles.
Last night I sat down to do the weekend challenge and realized I hadn't made any other cards lately but challenge cards. So I decided I needed to use my brain and do an original first. Here is what my brain came up with. (My brain has left the building!!) The bunny is only hooked on by the ribbon so it moves around.
Stamp: Whipper Snappers. It is all one peice and I separated the words for the bunny.
Paper: Turquoise, hot pink and brown cardstock
Accessories: buttons, ribbon, glitter glue all from Walmart, brown eyelets
Ink: Chalk Box Chestnut Roan
I colored the bunny with watercolor pencils and then added turquoise, hot pink and white glitter glue. I put an eyelet in each top corner to thread the ribbon through.
Now that I sit here and look at this I could almost submit it to the fashion challenge. Does the ribbon look like spaghetti straps to you? :)
The weather here is supposed to get nasty today. Thunderstorms. Sounds like some good stay at home stamping weather to me!!!!
Be safe! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Challenge SC163
Here is another SCS challenge card. I was color inspired by Nancy Riley at IStamp and her pink and green card today. She always does a great job.
I went for a lot of texture on this card. I used my crimper and my cuddlebug. The flower I rubbed the ink on a piece of white cardstock and then stamped the design on top. Then I added dept with my watercolor pencil.
Paper: The Paper Studio
Ink: Bright Pink Stampabilities
Accessories: Clear rhinestone, Foam glue dots
Stamps: Words-Will N' Way, Flower-Autum Leaves
Have a great night!!!!

Wednesday SCS Challenge
Here is my card for the Wednesday SCS challenge SC161. I probably did this card backwards. I had white die cut flowers. I used my Pebbles Inc. pearlescent chalk and colored them, then tried to match it with paper. Probably should pick paper first then color to match. The flower is colored with pink, orange, and brown. The green flower center is from the $1 Spot at Target. The brad, stamp and paper are from the scrapbook store.
I have had this perlescent chalk for awhile. At first I didn't like it but now I think I do. Other than the fact I am all spraklie when I am done. Hey - that can't be all bad!
Okay, I am off to try another challenge.

Took some time to stamp!!!
My kids are still moving!! I decided I would take an hour and do some stamping before I head over to help some more.
The heart stamp is from stampendous. I have tried to use it a couple of times, but in my learning process I either smear it or ruin it or I just plain don't like it when I'm done. I sprayed a peice of watercolor paper with water and then splattered green and purple watercolor pencils and then just rubbed it around until I like it. I saw how Laurie from Just Give Me Stamps did her watercolor so I tried it on the background.
The cardstock is just plain, purple, green, white and black. I tied a small bow like I have seen on Pam's blog Indigo Studio. For a finishing touch I used Pebbles Inc. Pearlescent Chalk. Green on the green parts and purple on the purple parts. You can see is somewhat in the picture.
I am anxiously waiting for Stampin Up stuff!!! I just sent the paperwork off yesterday. I guess I will be anxiously waiting awhile.
My next thing to learn is how to connect to someone's blog when I mention them. As you can tell I haven't figured that out yet.
Thanks for stopping by--it's still pretty exciting to see that someone left a comment or looked at my blog. It's only been a month!

I am taking another giant leap!
I am signing up tonight to become a new Stampin Up Demonatrator!!! Yahoo!!!
Now I will know the names of my stamps and colors of my paper and all that other fancy stuff.

Here is my card for the SCS weekend sketch challenge. I used scaps I had and then stamps that I got at my LSS. The set of stamps has flowers and then small stars or whatever you want to call them that match the center of the flower. The colors are better in person. The white ribbon is sparklie but it doesn't show in the picture.

My Funny Valentine
Gosh! I had to wait for my husband to finish with the computer before I could post my card tonight. He seems to think doing taxes is more important than card blogging.
What is wrong with him!?!?!?!?! j/k
Have you ever sat down to make a card and ended up with something totally unexpected.
That is what I did tonight. I like the outcome though.
The valentine paper is from the dollar spot at Target. The black hearts I cut with my cricut. Then I wrapped a black strip of cardstock with red eyelash yarn. I cant remeber where the brads are from. I've had them for awhile. That's it-pretty simple.
Happy Card Making!!!

Bright Chick
I did this card from Julee's sketch from Verve Visual.
I found it on Just Give Me Stamps blog. I used paper for The Paper Studio block of paper. It's bright but fun. The Chick stamp is another $1 from Michaels that I used watercolor pencils on. I used stamp markers on the laugh at the bottom. I am not sure I really like them. You don't really get a good result. Or at least I didn't. I thought about doing some peircing on the photo corners but all I have is a push pin and I didn't want to draw blood! Oh yeah-the chick is attached with a pop up foam circle. So when you move the card she dances alittle.
I found a Blog button in my Picasa program that lets me post the picture directly from there. Yahoo!!!
At Michaels yesterday I stood and stared at the Prisma markers and tried to decide if I should try them. I can get markers from Stampin Up and then I have heard of Copic. Anyone have any advice on which is better?
Thanks

Another Challenge Card
Here is another Beate challenge card. This one is done with a $1 stamp from Michaels and paper I picked up a Hobby Lobby yesterday. I watercolored the flower stamp. I did this at 11:30 last night. After I got the card all glued together I realized I forgot to glue on the ribbon. Oh well no one will know I just plopped it on top.
I am charging the battery on my camera to see if that is why all of a sudden my pictures are alittle fuzzy. Duh!!! Silly me has been trying every setting on the camera. Battery should have been the first thing checked. I guess since it's been three months since my surgery I can't use that excuse for being dingy anymore. Darn! New Picture I guess it was the battery.
OH - I made it so anyone can comment not just blogger members. I didn't know I had it on that setting.
Thanks for stopping by---have a great day!

My Frist Challenge Card
I thought I would try a challenge card for the first time. I did Beate's Weekend Challenge. It was fun having a layout idea to match. My inspiration comes from my 15 month old long hair chihuahua. I took her to the vet yesterday. Gosh!! She was supposed to be 41/2 lbs grown up. She's 13!! Made me think that love is unconditional. I don't know if this card is good enough to submit to the challenge. I might try another one. For a Walmart stamp and old paper I guess I did okay.
I am going to have to figure out how everyone get's links to other sites in their messages. Next new thing to learn. If someone lurking out ther could tell me how I would be greatful!
Have a great day!!
