Inspiration comes when you least expect it!

Today I was sitting at work and a drug rep (I work at a doctors office) threw a bag of green m&m's on my desk. The first thing I thought was - WOW-that will make a great slider for valentines day. The bag of m&m's is pretty cute! The slider is actually purple and green. I know it looks blue but it's not. I know those aren't your usual valentine colors but I didn't want it to look like christmas with red and green. The tag on the outside says "love is..." and when you pull the ribbon a tag pops up "you" with the m&m's. Sorry the picture is alittle fuzzy. I am going to give this to my husband so I didn't want it too cute and frilly. He just wants the candy!!!
You do know what they say about green m&m's don't you!!!!

I got my Posies for You stamp set today from Whipper Sanpper Designs. I am exctied to use it. I am still pretty limited on supplies. SU has their sale starting tomorrow. YAHOO!! I've been waiting to order from them till then.
Thanks for stopping by.

Card from scraps

I have tons of red and black scraps from my daughters guest book so I thought I would try to use some up. I stamped hearts, which I think is from Autum Leaves, and then cut them out for the flower petals. The black ribbon was free. I love free! It was wrapped around a magazine someone gave me. The covered button and black dotted flower are from spare parts.
I signed up for split coast stampers. I am excited to get to know everyone there and some great ideas!

Another Card!! and things I have learned

Okay, one more card. I like chickens. And what is better than a chicken-- a chicken on roller skates! I used some glass beads I found on the Hobby Lobby christmas clearance. I was trying something new. I splatterd some color on the white background page so I didn't smear as much as it looks--really!
Now, things I have learned. 1. Some black ink smears when wet. 2. When you post a picture and someone clicks on it, it turns huge and you can see every error. 3. This sure is a lot of fun. What more do I need to know?

Too Cute Bees!

Here is a card I made for a friend of mine. Wow there sure is a lot more to this blogging than you think. Trying to get a good picture of your card is tricky. I have a small digital camera and I am still trying to figure out all the settings. I dont know if you can see that there is glitter on the bees. I saw these bees on a blog and fell in love with them and had to have them! I painted them with watercolor pencils to match some old paper I had.
Hang with me--I will get all of this figured out!!

After a lot of should I or shouldn't I-I decided to go for it and start a blog. I have been crafting my whole life but just this year found stamping. My daughter asked me to make a lunch sack album to use as her guest book at her wedding. I used stamping and have been hooked!

I found blogging in September when I found out I had uterine cancer. I am now cancer free YEAH!!!! During my CA process I would surf the web. One day up popped the blog istamp by Nancy and I was hooked on blogging. She opened the door to many other sites and help me find an escape from waiting, wondering, surgeries, recoop time. Thank You!!!!

So here I am-discovering stamping, blogging and enjoying life.

Here is a picture from my daughters lunch sack guest book that started it all!!!
