BIRTHDAY WISHES

For some strange reason I made very few birthday cards. Aren't birthday cards what we use the most? I just got the stamp set For a Friend so I thought I would do a basic birthday card. I stamped the card base with the sanded background stamp it doesn't show up too much in the picture. I also used dazzling diamonds on the candle flame and flower centers for some sparkle.

Stamps: For a Friend and Sanded Background
Paper: whisper White, Blue Bayou, and Orchid Opulence
Ink: Blue Bayou and Orchid Opulence
Punches: Boho Blossoms and 1/4 circle
Embellishments: White gel pen and dazzling diamonds

Enjoy your Saturday!!!

The other end is for lawn equipment and storage. Do you think they would mind if I stamp on the wood while I am waitng for my next go fer girl orders :)

BUN IN THE OVEN and ADVENTURES OF GOFER GIRL

No not me!! I mentioned before I had two grandbabies coming two weeks apart. Well baby number one is a boy....Yahoo...they have two little girls already. Sister was not happy about getting a boy...she said he would stab her with his sword and be rough. Baby number two was too shy and modest. The doctor said it did everything a baby could to cover up...fanny up, legs crossed and a hand covering soooo......we get to wait another month. Stubborn like it's parents LOL

I need to order some baby stamps...I have none! Little boy stuff too...

I am off to be gofer girl...yes the shed is still in progress. I had to go fer bandaids once....it is not good to hit finger instead of nail....bleeds and turns purple....GOFER GIRL TO THE RESCUE....with a bandaid. I need to post a picture of this shed don't I????

Tomorrow is stamping day...after a half day at work of course.
I am ready for the weekend how about you?

Thanks for coming!!!

Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery and Regal Rose

CRIMP PICK A PETAL

Can you tell what my new stamp set is...Pick A Petal....When I saw this huge petal I thought of my crimper..who knows why I thought that ....but I had to try it. I tried 6 times to get a good picture but today is a little cloudy and I am not that talented yet :) I could always blame it on my camera but I did charge the battery.

I stamped the large petal, cut it out and then ran it through my crimper. Then I went over kill on the bling and embellishments on the center of the flower...hey why not. The corners and center of flower are rhinestones. There is a tiny tiny one in the O of you also.

Stamps: Pick a Petal and Greeting Galore
Ink: Whisper White and Purely Pomegranate
Paper: Basic Black, purely Pomegranate and Whisper White
Punches: Photo corners and tags and paper shapers retro flower
Embellishments: Rhinestones and black and white striped puffed flower from making memories

Well, I am off to do some more gofering on the shed project...have a great rest of the day!

FEATURED STAMPER

Todays SCS FS68 is Peanutbee. I like her clean style. Here is her card I picked to case today. You were supposed to change at least two things..the only two things I kept the same were the main stamp and the color brown...everything else I changed. This card is a different size for me. I decided to make it 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 .

It's good to be stamping again. I thought I would stamp yesterday but after working outside......it was 99 degrees but with the humidity added in it was more like 108. Wiped me out!!! I am the official Gofer with the shed project...you know...honey, go fer this and go fer that...glad to be of service! With the hot weather yesterday I was going fer a lot of water and Gatorade.

Stamps: Pick a Petal, Polka dots and Petals, Warm Words
Ink: Close to Cocoa and Groovy Guava
Paper: Whisper White, Groovy Guava and brown
Embellishments: Brown Ribbon and white gel pen

I stamped the outline of the petal in both colors for more of a shadow effect. I stamped a small flower on the groovy guava background and dotted the center with a white gel pen.

I don't think this week will be as crazy.....we are still building a shed though so who knows!

Thanks for stopping by and come back soon!!!

NOTE TO SELF!

Never plan your first two workshops, two card swaps and your husband laying cement and building a shed all it the same week. For some reason it just doesn't leave a lot of time to do some stamping! I am going to make something today if I have to do it in my sleep :)
Check back later and see what I come up with......
Have an awesome holiday weekend.

I HAVE A NEW FRIEND

I have a new friend who has taken up residence in my water fountain. I have a 3 barrel fountain and a froggie has decided to live in the last barrel. I have heard him for a couple of months but everytime I would come around it would hide. For the last couple of days it has just sat there. I guess it has decided that I wasn't going to hurt it. By the way....this is about as farmy as I get...well besides my dog.

MY FIRST STAMP WORKSHOP

Here are my very first stamp class participants...aren't they cute. We had so much fun. We had dazzling diamonds everywhere... Stop looking...I am not in the picture...I was taking it. Maybe next time!! :) Tuesday I have another class with the same projects. I am sure it will be just as fun....hopefully none of them check out the web site.
This was a card I made when I was helping out my son and daughter in law with their kids. I thought it would make a good card for workshop. And I was right! For once :)
Stamps: Warm Words and Princeless
Ink: Groovy Guava, Purely Pomegranate and blue bayou
Paper Same as ink with whisper white
Punches: Word Window and 1 1/4 circle

This was another card I did with limited supplies. Good for your first workshop.
Stamps: Priceless, Heartfelt Thanks
Ink: Blue Bayou
Paper: Blue Bayou and soft Sky
This card I saw in the latest issure of Stampin Success. I can't seem to put my hands on it right now. Isnt that how it goes. Instead of making it 3 x 6 I kept it the standard card size.
Stamp: One of a Kind
Paper: Purely Pomegrante
Ink: Purely Pomegrante, Blue Bayou, and Wild Wasabi
Boho punch, 1 3/8 square punch, and purely pomegrante ribbon.

It is not letting me post all of the pictures at once so there is a second post. I did it first so it would be last. That is one thing I have learned blogging.

A RAK FROM DAWN!!!!

My friend Dawn Easton at Treasure Oiler Designz sent me this card. Isn't it beautiful! I love all of the details. Dawn was one of the first blogs that I found and I visit there every day. She has made some amazing cards....I haven't seen one yet that I didn't like. You should definitely add her to your list of favorites. Thank You Dawn!!!!

I haven't had much time for stamping. I am busy getting ready for my very first card workshop on Friday night. My cutter and I have become very good friends.
I am ready to create something new. My brain is going....that's going as in thinking not going as in gone!! My family might disagree.

Have your friend ever talked you in to something.....mine did and now I have orange splotchy legs. Yes ...I tried tanning lotion. I have very fair skin and my legs glow in the dark. My goal every summer is to get tan enough to know when my white nylons have run. I am on day 4 ...days one and two were pretty good..you could look at me without sunglasses....I was thrilled. Day 3- I was going ...I don't know... I look kid of uneven. Today I was outside and looked down and went OH MY GOSH!!! It's not even at all!! My friends say yeah that happened to us but it looks good indoors. They left that part out and who wants to stay indoors! I haven't even mentioned my twice as dark knees and I only put the lotion on them once. Maybe I should make a card about this - LOL.
Come back and visit again!!!!

I hope all of you have had a great day! I think you don't have to give birth to influence someones life!!! So to every woman...Happy Mother's Day!!!

I needed a gift for a friend and remembered a tutorial I had seen on Angie's blog
Chic n' Scratch. It is this cute card box make with a 12x12 sheet of paper. If you haven't been to her website you should go. She has a tutorial almost every day and it is amazing!!
I so appreciate her.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SPARE MARBLES???

I think I have lost my marbles!!! I belong to an every other month card swap. They do pretty basic cards. So here I am doing a card with a lot to do on it....am I crazy!! Why can't I seem to just do a basic card??? Oh well, I got a "that's a cute card " from my husband so it was all worth it.

I decided to explore SCS a little more. I usually just go to the daily challenges. I found a tab marked resources....what a gold mine of info!

I saw this gel card tutorial and loved it. Then I saw this little scuba diver guy in my clip art and since our theme this month was summer I decided to make a gel scuba diver card. Of course I had to add glitter air bubbles and stamp and color a small fish, you know I had to keep it simple :) LOL I didn't put a sentiment on it..I wanted to make it an any occasion card for who ever gets them.

Stamps: Polka dots and Petals, fish stamp
Ink: Soft Sky
Paper: Blue orange and white from LSS
Other: Scallop Punch, regular hole punch, blue ribbon, 2x3 Ziploc baggies, glitter glue, prisma markers, hair gel, scuba diver clip art.

Well, we are under another tornado watch...happening a lot here in Texas lately!! Maybe that is where my marbles have gone :)

Happy Mother's Day tomorrow!!

WEDNESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE!!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!!!! The weekend is coming around the corner.
Today's sketch SC175 was a good one for me today. I like the layout and will have to used it again. It is a good day to stamp...it's gloomy and we could get some nasty weather. So I plan on just staying in and getting inky!!!!!

On my stamp I inked it up with blue bayou and wild wasabi and stamped it. On the flower I stamped a second time with blue bayou and then inked with wild wasabi stamped it off once and then stamped on the flower. The painter in me likes to mix colors.

Stamp: Heartfelt Thanks
Ink: Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi and close to cocoa
Paper: The brownish purple, green, cream and dotted are from LSS and then blue bayou
Embellishments: Brads and ribbon

I am off to stamp some more. I have 2 workshops and 2 card swaps to get ready for not to mention laundry and dishes. Do I really have to do the laundry and dishes.....this is supposed to be my half day off from work!!!

Come back again and see what madness I am up to!

FINALLY----TIME TO STAMP!

Things were a little crazy last week I didn't get much time to stamp. With spring comes a lot of yard work and everything else. Today I said --STAMP OR DIE TRYING!!
I am glad I didn't have to die trying :)

I saw this flower on Kendra's blog Inkin' It Up I knew I had to try them on something. I made them smaller so they would fit on a card. I am still going to try the full size ones too.

Paper: Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, Purely Pomegranate and DP
Stamp: Polka Dots and Petals, $1 stamp senitment
Ink: Purely Pomegranate
Punches: Word Window, 3/4 circle, photo corners
I used a white gel pen on the photo corners. I traced a bucket for the semi cirlce. I don't own a coluzzle yet.

Our weather has been perfect the last couple of days. I have to enjoy it because the hot humid summer is not far behind!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!!

This is my card for Wednesdays SC174 challenge. I started it yesterday but had the hardest time deciding what to put in the oval. I don't really have stamps yet that do oval. Finally today I worked something out.

I found these tiny mini punches in the dollar spot at Michaels. I passed them up twice. On my third visit they finally convinced me to buy them. I think they are pretty cute. I used my slit punch to make scallops and then a regular hole punch inside the scallop. I used my word window on the side to hold the other side of the ribbon. I cut my ovals with my cricut.

Stamps: Friendship Blooms
Paper: Certainly Celery, Blue and dotted are from LSS
Ink: Certainly Celery, white gel pen
Embellishment: Ribbon, mini flowers

Are you ready for the weekend! ?!?!?!?!?

Thanks for stopping by!
